what do you secretly want?

Updated: May 8, 2020

It's 2020 and just for kicks I took a manifesting course by Andrea Scher. It's called (wait for it), Manifesting 2020 (go figure?).

Loved it! Would recommend it to anyone.

What I really love about Andrea is the beauty and playfulness in everything she creates (And she loves the color orange. Me too!) While digging into the lessons I made a list of my goals, my intentions, and my personal favorite, my mondo beyondo dreams.

OK. PAUSE FOR EFFECT.

You're probably thinking, "What the heck is a mondo beyondo dream!?"

Laurie-Ell's revamped def'n of Mondo Beyondo Dream: dreams that live in the realm of wildness or the miraculous; they live in your subconscious and come out to play in your imagination.

Beautiful, right? What a freedom to be given an experience to find what your heart really wants and release those deep desires into the world.

These last few years, since I retired from teaching, there's been 1 question on a feedback loop in my head.

What do you do when all your dreams have been met?

I mean, I did it! I hit the brass bell I've been striving for since my teens. A beautiful family. A loving husband. A career that gave me joy and fulfillment. Financial security. And a few extra perks along the way.

Now what?

Letting myself write down dreams that are crazy and wild; dreams that live in my imagination and come from a place inside of me that knows what I secretly want. It allowed me to become that little girl again. A precious little thing, with nothing but big dreams.

Not a clue how to get them btw! No plan in place. Just a dreamy girl.

And that's ok. In fact, it's absolutely perfect. We don't have to know how or when we're arriving at the destination when we first dream of going. We first imagine ourselves there and want to go. Then we have to say we're going. The details follow later.

So, what does your heart secretly want? What dreams have you already achieved? What could be next?

I didn't disappoint myself with my first round of dreams. They turned out pretty freakin' well. I'm incredibly grateful for that.

But now I'm older, wiser, smarter. I'm not a little girl anymore. I know what's important and what's not. I know who I am (sometimes) and how I want to be in this world (some other sometimes). I've got people that I choose to surround myself with who love me and lift me up.

Frankly, I've got more heading into this next round of dreams than I did then.

This process of mondo beyondo dreaming has helped me answer that nagging voice in my head (yes I know it's me) saying, "What do you do when all your dreams have been met?"

Dream more.

Take what you need and leave the rest.

All my love,

Laurie-Ell
