we're all in this together

It's pretty crazy out there!

Empty shelves, lines at the borders, Italians singing together from their balconies. Ok, the last one is pretty cool.

We've never seen this before. This is epic journey we're on. Coronavirus 2019, properly known as COVID-19. But here's the thing. We're not alone in this. If this virus is showing us anything it's how interconnected we all truly are.

Yes, in the end we definitely travel our own road. Into this life, through life, and at the end of life the journey is ours to bare witness to. But on that road are other travelers. Walking in front, behind, and beside.

Right now the road is widening to allow all of us in. 'Cause we're moving in the same direction. Letting go of what we know. Entering the unknown.

Whether we like it or not, creating something NEW.

So you ask, on the other side of this what do I hope for? What do I want to have learned ~ aside from how to wash my hands?

Maybe how to show up for others vs just...not

Maybe how to take a deep breath through my rising panic vs screaming "THERE'S NO EFFING TOILET PAPER!"

Maybe how to let go of control because let's face it, I don't have any and never did.

Me, myself, and I can only surrender here and now to what is. Then respond to what is in a way that is loving and kind.

Maybe we all could try to do the same.

So wash your hands, practice social distancing, and be kind to one another. We're all just trying to do the best we can.

Take what you need and leave the rest. xo

Much love and blessings,

Laurie-Ell
